Inspiration
Whisper in the Wind is hugely special to me. In my mid-to-late 20s I learned hard lessons in life. Up to that point I felt invincible, and that my success was a given. But when hard times hit, I started listening more to God. I learned to hear His whispers guiding me in the right direction and showing my His grace. I feel like most people are too busy paying attention the noise and thus can’t hear God’s talk with them.
Verse 1
I walked a path no map had charted,
Through shadows where the daylight started.
The silence held a sacred tune,
A voice that hummed beneath the moon.
Pre-Chorus
And though the world just passed me by,
Eyes to ground, chasing the sky,
I caught a flicker in the dust—
A spark of something I could trust.
Chorus
Now I hear the whisper in the wind,
Calling soft where noise has always been.
There’s a hand behind the mystery,
Painting light the blind don’t see.
They call it fate or luck, or chance,
But I’ve learned the steps, I’ve joined the dance.
Oh, what a joy to finally know—
The secret voice that guides the soul.
Verse 2
He speaks in flame, in falling rain,
In echoes through a windowpane.
A still small hush that breaks the storm,
A gentle pull, so calm, so warm.
Pre-Chorus
I used to search in books and signs,
But truth was written in the pines.
The roots, the leaves, the way they bend—
It’s all a letter He would send.
Bridge
Some folks chase the thunder’s roar,
But miss the knocking at their door.
Miracles don’t always shine—
Sometimes they bloom in crooked lines.
Final Chorus
Yes, I hear the whisper in the wind,
A faithful sound that never ends.
Where once was doubt, now there's a flame,
And every breath repeats His name.
No burning bush, no parted sea,
Just wonder woven into me.
Oh, what a peace to finally see—
The silent song that sets me free.
